Thank you to all who joined us for the Allston Brighton Community Celebration on Saturday, September 17, 2022. It was a great day! Big thanks to ABCD’s Allston Brighton Neighborhood Opportunity Center, Family Nurturing Center’s Allston Brighton Family Engagement Network, and Big Sam’s Paints! Also, thank you to the Jim Joseph Foundation for their support the event and mural project.
We celebrated the start of Hispanic Heritage Month with food from Teresa’s Market and music by La Rockola Boston. Community members also helped paint a community mural with Big Sam’s Paints, learned about local resources, enjoyed free ice cream provided by Astound powered by RCN and more!
Thank you Boston City Councilor Liz Breadon and State Representative Kevin G. Honan for showing your support and to all the amazing organizations who participated in the event including Faneuil Branch of the Boston Public Library, Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, staff from the Office of State Senator Will Brownsberger, Abundant Grace Church, Jamaica Plain/Brighton WIC, JAHAN Women and Youth Intercultural, Coalition for a Just Allston-Brighton and of course, our co-hosts Action for Boston Community Development and Allston-Brighton Family Support Network.
