Bernadette Brewer has been the Executive Director of the Presentation School Foundation Community Center in Brighton for the past four years. She oversees and manages the daily operations and functions of the organization and the center. Bernadette holds dual Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Criminal Justice from Suffolk University, a Graduate Certificate in Non Profit Leadership and Management from Tufts University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northeastern University.
With over 25 years in the field of Non-Profit Human Service Management and Public Administration, she has been able to apply her knowledge and expertise to develop the PSF Community Center into a thriving and active space for the entire Allston-Brighton neighborhood. She is actively involved with many groups and organizations in the areas of social justice, organizational and program development, and community organizing and policy advocacy. Bernadette is the Audit Chair for the Norfolk-Plymouth County Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She sits on the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative Steering Committee, the Brighton Board of Trade, and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for New England Community Services.
For many years, Bernadette has been an advocate for equality and justice for those living in underserved communities. She has worked with policy makers and community leaders to bring about positive change in to individuals and groups in the most need.
